My belief is that all people develop particular ways of managing stress, relating to others, and viewing and understanding themselves in the world. Often these patterns represent creative ways of adapting to our environment, or life’s challenges. However, therapy can identify if previously helpful means of coping are contributing to current day emotional pain or other problems in life, and can empower you to purposely and mindfully make changes.
Our work begins as a conversation about what you hope to gain from therapy, including how you would like your life to ideally look. Together, we collaborate to deepen our understanding of your concerns, and painpoints. Throughout the process, I center your priorities, and emphasize your expertise on your own experiences, while also bringing my own body of knowledge and insights to our dialogue.
Together we find relief by deepening your understanding of your patterns of feeling and coping, and widening the breadth of your emotional and physical life.
